The TystofteFoundation manages activities regarding national listing, plant breeders rights and certification of seeds in Denmark. The activities are carried out under a delegation of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries of Denmark. has also been appointed to carry out variety testing and official control cultivation. TystofteFonden operates as a secretariat for the Danish Plant Variety Board.
The Tystofte testing station is located near Skælskør in the municipality of Slagelse.

The Danish Agricultural Agency supervises TystofteFonden in connection with the delegated tasks and the designated tasks.
